POWER is the strength to act, to do, to become.
POISE is the manner is which we do it.
PASSION is the fire that sparks it all.

Together they form a presence, a confidence that underlies both movement and stillness. A willingness to do what is necessary and gracefully own the consequences. It can be loud without being bombastic, quiet though not compliant, and discerning while reserving judgement. It’s solemn and playful, resolute and teachable. It maintains composure in the midst of chaos and love in the face of brutality. And what I find most fascinating about the convergence of these three qualities is its utter contagion—the courage that envelops not only the possessor, but all those within reach. The freedom it extends for each of us to be agents unto ourselves, to act, to do, and to become that which our passions encourage—and to do it in a way that broadens the horizons and possibilities of all those around us. And that is my ultimate goal. After all, “we rise by lifting others.” (While many have said it, I like to credit Chase Hughs for instilling that particular quote into my psyche). So let’s rise together.
